American Music Company was started in Fresno, California by Tim McFarland, in 1979. Tim is a professional trumpet player, is an expert technician, skilled in band and orchestral repairs, and is well known and respected for his expertise in design and installation of sound, video and lighting systems.
Being a musician, Tim has a passion and an overall love for anything to do with music, the arts and sound. He has used his talents in music and an "ear" for quality to help guide his clients.
Tim, together with American Music Company’s knowledgeable and experienced staff, has developed a respected reputation as a quality music store.
Now, with the newly developed online music store, American Music Company will be able to supply music equipment and accessories, as well as, other audio/visual items to more customers.

Store Manager
Mike Canady
-- Mike has worked for American Music Co as store manager for 25 years. Originally from the Bay area, Mike moved to Fresno to attend CSU Fresno as a music ed. major. In the many years Mike has worked at American Music Co. he has acquired a wealth of knowledge and expertise in music products and services.
Mike is an accomplished and sought after woodwind player, he has performed in wind ensembles, marching bands, jazz groups, rock bands, theater orchestras, symphony orchestras and chamber groups for the past 35 years. Mike is well like and respected and has many friends in the local music community.
